That show was one of the best I’ve ever seen and heard. I loved the visuals and the sound was perfect. Jonsi is an epic artist. I had chills and tears for the entire set. Thank you 4 changing my life.
Just breathe taking. I could feel Jonsi’s emotions in every note. &Grow Til Tall has always made me cry but I did not expect this ending to be so strong. And this was just through the computer screen! I cannot wait to go to his concert. So good <3 I loved it.
Thank you so much for letting us watch your show on-line. You guys make the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard.
I even forgot that I was in bed sick while watching your show. Thank-you! :-)
Witnessing Jonsi live was amazing. That finale. Wow. Epic!! Thank you!!!!
The show was great!!!!! Thanks for broadcasting it!!! Please come to Kansas City!!!
This, in the words of my friend, left me “spellbound.” It was a marvel. The visuals are stunning and oh so beautiful and the craft of the spectacle which is created by the music is just remarkable. Perfectly executed. Jónsi is a phenom. Although I was not able to attend the show tonight, I felt like I was just 5 miles northwest of me, sitting in amazement at the wiltern. Thank you Jónsi, the staff, & NPR for this beautiful privilege. Cheers!
I was there tonight. When I got in the car afterward, I had to turn off the radio and drive home in silence – because the show was still resonating with me. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I couldn’t get the sounds and the sights and the emotions out of my head. I texted a friend who was also there saying, “My heart is so full, it feels like it’s about to burst.” I was on the verge of tears, in the most wonderful way. The intensity of the music. The drums. The visuals. Everything seemed to contribute to a stronger version of the other – the visuals made the sound stronger and vice versa. The whole performance was just so emotionally intense. Probably the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced.
I’ll probably watch it again online tomorrow night – to experience it all over again.
Such a beautiful show! I saw the show earlier this year at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco and I was left breathless as I was tonight (I’ll also be in Las Vegas to see you this coming week). It was also a great pleasure to see and meet you beforehand at Origami Vinyl. Talk about an intimate show! Wow!
Absolutely stunning. I got chills during the finale!
This was the best concert I have ever been to. It went way beyond my expectations. The most magical and beautiful music and visuals. I had chills and tears.
South america is waiting for you [3]
Dear Jonsi, you and your band mates were so wonderful tonight, you were absolutely amazing. Tonight was the highlight of my life, I will never forget this beautiful gift you brought to me. Thank you, from bottom of my heart.
back from actual concert.
holy shit.
beyond words. i was the first one in line at noon, and it was definitely worth the 9 hour wait in the rain. everything was so spectacular it’d be futile listing them all. it’s probably just me really wishing it happened but our mutual jumping bouncing spazzing thing during a portion of sticks and stones made me so incredibly happy. not gonna lie, i cried. COME BACK SOON.
wow, just got home… perfect. I hope to you again and Sigur Ros as well! :D
Oh my G! eye/ears-gasm, can’t believe I just saw that! for me, one of the best visual was The wolf chasing the deer, the deer turned into a bird, a bird turned back into a bigger deer and killed the wolf, WTH. AMAZING, THANK YOU.
speechless. walked out a new person. JONSI! YOU ARE MAGNIFICENT!
Tonight was my second time this year seeing Jonsi’s fantastic show. I was lucky enough that he was playing in my area tonight at The Wiltern, however earlier this year I gladly drove up to Berkeley, CA to see his spectacular performance and it was more than worth it. Thank you so much for being the biggest inspiration to me in my life and having such vibrant energy about life and putting it into your music. You are truly a gift and we are all so blessed to have such a talent and a great hearted person on this earth. You inspire me to live life to the fullest, and are a great inspiration to me in my musical process. Thank you so much for another fantastic show!! <3<3<3 :D Love, Sadie Rose
Just got back from the show. We both cried and hot damn, every song was amazing. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s show in Pomona!
Thank u so so so much !!!
Ill never forget listened yoursong in sandiego !
Thank u !!!
Wow! God bless technology ; ) What a great pleasure it was yesterday night to watch the show by webcast! It brought me back to so many good memories after seeing the show live 6 times ; ) The show was, of course insane and I was surprise by the quality of the captation, good job!
I hope there will be at least, one more webcast of the show!! And I just can’t wait for the live dvd of Go ; ) And I really hope that the lucky ones who’ll go to the Go Closer shows will share their experiences on your site for the ones who are too far to witness it by themself.
Thank you so very much Jónsi xx
Let me start by saying that I drove up from LA to see Jonsi live at Berkeley and was completely blown away. It was the most stunning and beautiful show I have ever seen. So when I saw that he was coming to LA, I just had to see him again. But unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed just because the original stage setting was not used. Instead of the 3 dimensional set, it was a flat screen. The colors and excitement from the visual aspect was not achieved. Instead, all the beautiful details of the orginal show was simply washed out unfortunately. But I do think the sound and performance were excellent. I just wished the LA audience could have experienced what I did in Berkeley.
I was in tears… absolutely beautiful.
