    ^ I figure, completely as hearsay, that he must speak some Icelandic having lived there and also snuggled with a born and bred for 6 + years.

    There's also that videoclip of him babbling something to jonsi that no matter how many times I've listened to it I can't understand a damn word he says.
    Doesn't really sound liek Icelandic either though....

    I've always wondered if Alex speaks Icelandic...Jónsi says in interviews that he(Jónsi) only speaks English at home though...so Alex must not know very much Icelandic.

    i think he's just murmuring or blathering like the baltimorian he is.

    i'm sure living in reykjavik makes you pick up some basic icelandic, and he probably has learned some from being around doddi, obo and ulfur AND jonsi all the time, not to mention the rest of sigur ros, and they all speak icelandic amongst eachother i'm guessing.
    i want to hear alex speaking icelandic now. it must be just adorable, like everything else he does.
