   The layout and design is perfection, I would love to use it's design for my fabric project I am hoping to return to - abandoned for this trip. I am on the train home now, so hoping for re-inspiration soon.

    Thanks everybody, you're all so sweet! Moe, I'm super-honored that you can find inspiration for art in my tattoo! I'm not really artistically inclined myself, so this was a great way for me to add some art to my life :) I can't wait for it to heal!

    wow, that's a pretty impressive job. i really like how you meld the SR birds with the jonsi paint drips. very cool. so how many times DID you see jonsi last year?

    The nice thing about the birds is that they can hold other meanings for you as well, so if you do maybe change your musical tastes the tattoo is still good. For me, a tattoo is about memorializing a certain time in your life, when this thing was important enough for you to make it a part of your body, and that in itself is beautiful. Plus it's fun :D

    Eh, it hurts like hell, but the whole process is the fun part. Going to the tattoo parlor, seeing some really nice and really bad art, talking about why you're getting your tattoo, that's what's fun for me. Your skin gets numb after a few minutes anyway, and you mostly don't feel it anymore :)
