Hey, I'm new to this forum so I apologise if this has already been covered....
I recently found out Jonsi has used another name, Frakkur, when recording solo material.
I just downloaded 3 albums: Toyboy, Songs for the Little Boy, and Pling Pong.
Anyone know if there are any more??
Also, are the track names by Jonsi or did people just label the songs themselves???
I'm a little confused seeing as there is very little info out there.
Appreciate it if anyone can help me out.
They are jonsi, he was fuckin around with this stuff in 2003/2004 (2004/2005?)I think Alex might have had a hand in them as well, seeing as how a couple Frakkur trax are very similar to a couple Parachutes..
There was a one off live show in Reykjavik, a world tour that fell through and what you downloaded is exactly what there is.

Dream Fyrir John was written for John Somers(Alex's brother)((this as of now tho is rumor and hearsay))to elaborate with/from on one of his own songs. And I SWEAR I heard it sampled but cannot for the life of me locate the piece again ):
"mmmmm his hair smells so human..." is most definitely something jonsi titled, he's made reference to smelling Alex's hair more then once in interviews (I'll post linx when less lazy cuz it's so daaaaaw)
I think the rest of the actual titles (Wind in my Hair, Walking with his earphones, heartshape pillow) all of it doesn't seem so out of character for jonsi. I really do think he was charmed to the eye teeth by Alex when writing these little tunesies... and to me the titles reflect exactly that.
Or maybe I'm just fuckin stupid and making sandcastles out of a bunch of dogshit. I dunno.
To me frakkur is the most sweetly heart on sleeve tunes I have ever heard though. I will cuddle these albums 4ever.

\the frakkur was 'found' online by someone from the sigur ros mb. I believe she made up some song titles and they just sorta stuck... i think because they just seemed so perfect :)
^ yeah I guess I should have mentioned that... when I got a hold of the songs every single title was exactly as they still appear on the downloads today. Very very few people were listening to Frakkur at that point and even less people thought all 3 records were jonsi, I doubt that they took the trouble to re-title but there is a slim possibility.
I added my 4 titles to tracks listed as Track 6 Track 3 Track 5 and Track 7 on Toyboy.
i forgot that i titled Boy Queen Boy Star as well!

I’m an absolute Frakkur addict, it’s prefect ‘background music’ for drawing/bus rides/anything…
I have my own theories about why it was written/not released. I think of it as Jonsi’s ’homework’ - like, practicing making music? To prove to himself that he was a good musician & let out some emotion. I dunno, it’s just my idea :/
The other day I was played Laurie Anderson’s ‘O Superman’ (link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VIqA3i2zQw ) and realised that the vocal sample ‘beat’ used by Frakkur had been done before. Just found that interesting.
I read the interview nook posted…and ended up laughing out loud at the quote from Jonsi:
"Ordinary things are nice," he says in chirruping, stop-start English that makes everything sound slightly quizzical. "I walk around and smell trees. Smelling trees is really nice. I've recently discovered the mall. I don't even buy anything. I just walk around and watch people." He grins boyishly. "Normality is fun."

aww i love the bit 'We both love trees. They're so beautiful. The title was actually made in the States, on the east coast in Maryland. Jonsi made a present for my mother and on the back he wrote 'thank you for all the big trees' and I think somehow stuck with us and we just used it for a song.'
