Well.. it will be when it's finished. :D

So yeah. I was surprised there wasn't already a thread to discuss the book. (I think we should keep it seperate from the Jóntastic Thread because it's quite specific.)

The thread is for discussion and queeries about the book beause the people invloved seem to be on here more often than on facebook :P

Also, it's a good place to post IDEAS - something of which I am currently lacking. HINT HINT *cough cough*

so can you fill me in on whats has been planned for the book in the facebook group since i dont have facebook and want to contribute to it hopefully

I know that Ainsley is one of the main organisers :)

It's been decided that we will each do 6 pages of art, 3 back to back.
The size will be A5 (half of A4).

The current dilemma is the binding aspect. We think there should be a gap down the side of the page of about a quater of an inch for the binding that will hold the book together. However, I'm not sure if this is part of the A5 space or not.

I have no idea who Bryan Riebeek is, but I think we're sending the pages to him to bind the book.

Looks like my reaction image posting has started something.

Anyways YES I'm so psyched for this project. It's going to be epic beyond belief.
I'm having trouble figuring out what I'm going to do, too, though...
Let's see, just have to come up with a few drawings that my favorite person in the world is going to see, nbd.

I'm glad someone took the initiative to make a seperate thread for this, though. Like 5 pages of the Jontastic thread have been taken up discussing it.

Awesome though. It just the pressurrrre to get the art right.

I was thinking maybe something in watercolour.
Something bird like.
Something with deer in it..... hmmmm...

ARGH it's 3:30am. No wander I can't think of anything else -_-

I think Ains suggested we post the pictures on facebook or something for risk of them getting seen by unwanted eyes on here.

We are, after all, being watched by Big Brother John Best. And possibly others.

I've got ideas for 4 of my 6 pages and am ready to begin!! I'm just very confused about the paper. I checked out some paper at the art store last week, and among several different sizes of sketch pads, they were all given in inches and centimeters. So I haven't a clue what size A4 or A5 even is... I'm such an amateur!! =( I'm definitely glad someone got this thread going, though. There hasn't been much going on at all at the facebook page.

I was keeping this whole idea in the Jóntastic thread so that we could figure everything out.
And I don't think you should be posting Bryan's whole name in this thread + there is a facebook group for this.
And I'm sorry for being so dead in the gorup, I just haven't been feeling good at all, and this month is going to be busy for a lot of people, and we'll be making the book next year anyway. So we could have made the thread then, because then we would have probably figured out a deadline and stuff.

I'll just help with the paper sizes, A5 is 5.83 × 8.27inches or 148 × 210mm and that's including the space for binding (I hope) otherwise we'll all be buying bigger paper and cutting bits off, which would be wasteful :(

I also have no idea what I'm going to write/draw/whatever on my pages...nothing seems good enough, if you know what I mean?

I'm going to make another video of me explaining how the book will look like and post it here for all of you who don't have facebook to see. I could write it all down, but it's easier just to explain it with visuals instead of just words. You know?

Without giving too much away (spies!), does anyone know of any other bands/side projects members of Sigur Ros have had, besides Jonsi? I know about Frakkur already, and Kjartan's Credo, but feel like I must be missing things. I am only interested in things that would have album covers or posters, and only if they were in the band or composed the music(as opposed to producing or mixing albums). Thanks so much! I hope what I'm trying to do ends up good, I just had a breakthrough :)
