oh god I don't care. I saw "boy lilikoi reworked" and came.
but really, I wasn't expecting a full original soundtrack from him. I suspected he'd take a few previous songs and do stuff with them. but that's good enough for me! I'm so fucking excited~

@acinthaslay: i count 3 new songs + 8 shorter pieces of Jónsi music, it's not so bad; it's a soundtrack of a film, not a new album ;) we are lucky to get this on the CD.

sort of unfortunate (aside from the obvious reasons) that some d-bag released all those animals from his private zoo in ohio and they had to be shot...i hate to admit it, but i looked at this preview differently just now than when i saw it before the event.
regardless, very psyched about the soundtrack, and i'm keeping the original spirit of the movie intact. :)

alline, I ordered it for 21,33 dollars shipping included, that makes a little more than 15 euros, to be delivered between Xmas and 5th of jan, not too bad I thought.

as much as i have to agree with tyler about the recent massacre in Ohio, i'm still looking forwards to this movie. PETA said they're trying to get Crowe to put a disclaimer about the danger of owning exotic animals at the end - one thing PETA is trying to do that I can actually agree with.

Agree with you Medizin. That guy's animal park or whatever it was isn't that far from me actually. I have relatives who live in the same town - so it was all over our local news for days. I had to turn my head at the images of the dead animals. It was so gruesome and upsetting. Exotic animals aren't the same as cats and dogs and need to be cared for by professionals in special environments - not a backyard. A disclaimer on this would be great.

Wait, this movie is about privately owned wild animals?
And I hate zoos. Fuck zoos, animals be miserable up in a zoo.
Like here in Toronto we had the polar bear that ate it's newborn baby and skinned the other alive, that's not natural. They are so sad animals. They sleep in HAY this is not... wtf @ Toronto Metro Zoo!!

^ that's what I'm wondering. I think though that a lot of folks don't understand how damaging it is to hold animals in captivity.... we have entire generation of animals now who are born in captivity! Would they even understand how to survive in their natural environment? Like what have we done and I don't know that it's seen that way enough.

I'm not sure what the movie is exactly about, but there is a book about it that this movie is based on. Was it a zoo that needed an owner or something so this family bought it?? Anyway, I just saw on TV last night an elephant in India that was getting all hostile - it was used in some sort of show or drive-through animal thing in India. It was beating up this car and throwing a huge fit!! Wouldn't you know that some of the people would start throwing rocks at the poor beast?? It needed everyone to leave so it could just settle down. And as the commentator said, it's no doubt best these animals aren't used for such things. These animals just need to be left alone in their natural environments, but we people get all bent out of shape when they act up!! It's like the deer I saw on TV, too, that got into a convenience store and was causing all kinds of chaos because we're taking over all their space. But we blame the animals!! And we kill them because they act in dangerous ways, but it's all our faults. People don't like to admit that.

we've got a deer surplus here on the island, they're officially calling a cull. it makes me really sad, considering deer are my favorite animals, but they cause a huge danger mostly because people hit them on the roads all the time. they're very docile creatures though, not hostile at all. unfortunately it's the only thing we can do.
yesterday i saw one in a yard while going downtown, absolutely huge buck with immense antlers. it was at least 10 years old. for peaceful herbivores, they can look intimidating...as for the movie, i think the message has to have some sort of legitimacy about owning wild animals. they wouldn't release something that blatantly condoned owning them, it's a well known fact that it's dangerous and unnatural. i guess we'll have to wait for it to come out to see.

Musically shit is fantastic... love the drums they sound like they've been reversed in parts, love the reversed parts as a whole. Little Frakkur howls, gosh I like dem :D
