How do you guys know it's a joke? Just because they are a little weird doesn't mean people don't actually believe in that
Pjarki sounds super awesome! We should totally make a little book of all the lyrics in all the weird forms we could get up with and send it around so everybody could sign it and then wrap it and send it to Jónsis birthday or something :D who knows, he might put it on his piano, and that would be the biggest honor evaaaaaaarrrrr

Oh, I figure some people do believe in that list for sure. That's what's scary!! Reminds me of the book burners 'cept it's CDs here. I say it's a joke for 1 reason because Sigur Ros are on it and because the Cure are on it for wearing make-up. That's enough for me right there.

well, for one it was last updated in 2007 and i've seen it mentioned before, jokingly, on another website a while ago. if it was legitimate they'd probably keep it up to date 5 years later.
also the quote on the side bar and the source being Oscar Wilde (reformed homosexual) can't be serious.
notice how there isn't a specific church or congregation they're associated with or any addresses to contact other than e-mail.it's just a troll website designed to ruffle feathers, relax.

@Dust, yes absolutely! we'd tjúúú and cry out of honor for the rest of our lives. I'm off to Iceland in june so I might just throw the book into their arms. "The Great Golden Lexikon Songbook in Hopelandic of TJÚÚÚCEPTIONISM".
Posted 4 months ago # -
Ohhh yeeeeaahhh LET'S MAKE IT!!!!
I'm sure you guys have lyrics for every single hopelandic song out there in your dusty drawers or in the farthest corn of your computers! Bring them up! *goes looking for a thread on the subject*Posted 4 months ago # -
I'd like to burst out something like "WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!", but I find this more appropriate: TJÚÚÚÚÚÚÚÚVÍÚÚÚUÚ´ÚÚUÚHÍUÚÚÚÚÚÚÚÚ´!!!!!!!

Pjarki! maybe we should go make a new thread?
Posted 4 months ago # -
augnablik, no I think where totally up on some copycats here.. Havn't Sigur rós got like a place on their website where you can send in if you find some impersonators? maybe you know about that :)
Posted 4 months ago # -
New thread for the tjúúúception, yes! Will you have the honor? :)
Posted 4 months ago # -
@augnablik I can definitely hear it.
Posted 4 months ago # -
@ Dust: I know about the page where they show the copycats I did not know, however, that you could send things in. But I think if it is illegally copied, the persons who might want to know about it will find out through this forum just as well.
I was not really sure if it is close enough to the original. I heard it on TV the other day, just for a few seconds, and it immediately reminded me of the song.

Pjarki, naaaah, won't you? :§)

Listening to Popplagið on Inni today, I noticed that the drums are picked up or mixed (?) so that they sound more prominent than on ( ) where (to me) it's all about the vocals and the bow. So I just had to worship a little at the Orri altar here. Such great stuff. He measures that out as perfection. I swear your heart starts beating to it and then gets dragged all white knuckled and screaming to the finish. ;-)
That reminds me of how... back in the Stone's age, we were warned that the sync-O-pation of that heathen music was going to mess with our heart rhythm and cause an ugly, early death. I spent my formative years blasting R&B and British invasion, still here for now....

if listening to Orri's drumming messes with my heart's rhythm and can be fatal, then that's the way i want to go out. blasting popp in my face until i roll over.

icelandicmusic.is writes: On February 1st, the Centennial Concert Hall will host the North American premieres of Bjarnason's Bow To String, Sigurðsson's stunning Dreamland and the Canadian premiere of Kjartan Sveinsson's Credo, while February 3rd sees the world premiere of Jóhannsson's A Prayer for the Dynamo, commissioned specifically by the WSO.

SPRIGURROSINGTIME ahead. tulips will tjúúú, squills will squeee with meeeedo allow me this little interruption of unavoidable itchy daftness
Posted 3 months ago # -
I'm worried about my tulips, as we have not had frozen ground yet this year.
Posted 3 months ago # -
iv never seen anyone, IVE NEVER BEEN TO CONCERT so i hope sigur ros will be the first.
Ps; i found out about Jonsi and SR last summer. my life has changed DRAMATICALLY.I SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted 3 months ago # -
Tbuddha, the tulips will be fine! We can even grow them in California. They just need that period of chill to start their bloom engines. We have to refrigerate them for a while here to get it right. They survive hard freezes but I don't think they actually need them.
I have never seen Sigur Ros live, but some life mistakes can be repaired!!
Posted 3 months ago # -
Ohhhhhhh man, for all of you that haven't. I'm not even gonna start because it's impossible to really describe. But no matter how much you think you'll be prepared for a Sigur Ros concert, you have absolutely no idea.
