the songs on ‘go’ originally started off as acoustic songs written by jónsi and before they adopted their current names they were known as k1, k2, k3 etc., “k” refers to the icelandic word kassagítar (acoustic guitar). as the recording process started and evolved – the naming structure stayed until near the end when the songs received the titles we all know now.
