Jonsi's own recipe RAW chocolate bar
GUILT FREE, HEALTH GIVING, DELICIOUS RAW CHOCOLATE
DAIRY FREE, SUGAR FREE, GMO FREE
As a raw food vegan one of Jónsi’s greatest pleasures is eating raw chocolate. We thought it would be an idea to share this pleasure with others who might not have tried it before.
Jónsi’s own special recipe raw chocolate bars are handmade by Pete and Laetitia at ROAR. Using only the finest quality raw cacao that is traceable from the source indigenous organic cooperatives in Ecuador where the farmers receive at least 30% extra for their crop. (Not from West Africa where the majority of chocolate comes from and is produced primarily using child slave labour.)
The unroasted cacao beans are minimally processed and kept below 42 degrees centigrade. This 81% cacao bar is vegan and sweetened with raw dark agave syrup that is a fructose sweetener with a low GI, produced to organic standards and processed below 45 degrees centigrade. Finally a dash of organic Madagascan vanilla extract is added.
The production methods allow the maximum nutritional benefit to remain in the bar with a rich antioxidant and mineral profile that can energise you and release endorphins - those love chemicals...
