It was an amazing performance by all of the band members, I can’t even wrap my mind around it all right now. It was entirely worth seeing and I am really upset that I can’t go to tomorrow’s show as well, the encore alone is worth going for.

  2. Matt says:

Beautiful, intense, and mesmerizing are just three words to describe this show. One of the most incredible shows I have ever seen. Jonsi, you are one of the most talented people I have have ever seen live. The band is amazing and the stage art/work is unbelievable. I was so fortunate to have been able to experience this with my Dad and best friend. Thank you Jonsi and band, for one of the most memorable concert/experiences I have and will ever witness!

You guys were unbelievable. I felt so happy & overwhelmed — my brain didn’t know what to do so it made lots of water come out of my eyeballs!!!

Seriously, your show is bits of magic. Jonsi has the prettiest voice I’ve ever heard & the drums are playing so loud & hard that your chest hurts in the best way.

Thanks for the best show EVER!

Spectacular show. I saw Sigur Ros about eight years ago at the Riviera in Chicago, and that was amazing. This show by Jonsi tonight surpassed that experience. This was the best concert/audio-visual show I’ve been to.

Took my best friend who was not familiar with this music or much familiar with Sigur Ros. He has been to more concerts though than anyone I know, and has more records than anyone I know. He was so blown away tonight that he said it almost moved him to tears a few times, and said it was maybe the best show he’s been to in 20 years.

The percussion sounded huge. All the sounds and visuals together formed something truly special. The kind of experience that makes life wonderful.

  6. Mike says:

Jónsi and crew were absolutely amazing. The experience was breathtaking and magical. It was just a regular concert it was magical journey through the world of sound and visual art. Hands down one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I can not picture any other concert beating the amazing experience that was this concert. Great job to everyone involved it looked and sounded amazing and definitely came together really well.

  7. This show was absolutely phenomenal. One of the best performances and experiences in my entire life. Jonsi found a way to make his music all the more magical to me. I’ll never be able to listen to his album the same way, and I’m okay with that. Seeing this album live is an absolute to true fans of his music.

  8. Joe says:

Simply put: beautiful. I have never before experienced a concert this powerful, visual and intimate. Emotionally invested after the first song, it continued throughout the evening. The sound was absolutely incredible (Thank you Vic sound people), and the set constructed was a visual masterpiece, tailored to each song (@59productions). I loved the story revealed in the backdrop and structures on stage, and loved how all members took turns playing different instruments, some I had never seen before on a stage. I also have to say that Thorvaldur thór Thorvaldsson is one of the best drummers I have ever, and probably will ever see. After each song, the crowd erupted into the most thunderous applause I have ever heard during a show – a true witness to what the band was doing through music. Ending the evening with Grow Till Tall, was incredibly emotional for me, and a beautiful end to the set. All the way through, such an amazing experience, and so glad to have shared it with a great friend. We will be talking about this show for years to come. Thank you Jónsi and band for stopping in Chicago!

  9. Lenny says:

Amazing show musically. I may have had myself built up a bit too much on the visuals but they were truly impressive none the less. Much better than the average stage show. All of the non album songs were exceptional and I hope they can be released to the masses at some point down the line.

It was incredible just to be a part of this experience created by one of the greatest musical talents I have ever heard. Thank you Jonsi and crew for sharing this with us! I will be talking about it for years.

  10. FatSquirrel says:

  11. ann says:

Sonic detoxification. Life, death and everything in between. Thanks to Jonsi and crew for an excellent evening! So powerful and true. I want to go again! And, so wonderful to be surrounded by so many others that appreciate Jonsi and his music. The Jonsi community rocks!

  12. lauren says:

i officially have a crush on all of the band members, especially jónsi in a headdress! last night’s experience provided a really, really powerful performance while at the same time remained silly and fun. this is the type of show that when it ends, you feel like you just got punched in the gut…but in a good way!

  13. Nora says:

I can’t even begin to describe what beauty emerged from that stage. I never felt such happiness, I literally had goosebumps throughout the entire performance. I couldn’t stop smiling. To be honest, I actually cried. This is by the far the best concert I’ve ever been to. Although I may be a mere 17 years, my life has changed completely from listening to Jónsi’s music. Even if I could thank him in person, it would not be enough of a gratitude for what mind-blowing inspiration he and his band has given me. So with all the sincerity from this poor human’s soul, THANK YOU.

  14. Robin says:

Unbelievable production, very breathtaking–thank you for inspiring me and making me realize that theatre and art are so alive and that there are so many ways to intersect sound and visuals! You are the best!

  15. James says:

A magical night. You have the power to fill a bit of the hole found in the heart of every young romantic. Thank you for everything Jonsi and Band!

  16. Eric says:

I don’t know what I can say that hasn’t already been said here, but I feel the need to, in some minor way express how grateful I am for having witnessed this concert. It didn’t feel like watching five guys on a stage playing instruments, but more like watching the universe unfold or something. I was completely enveloped in it. Honestly I have no idea how to accurately describe the experience, but I will certainly remember it for the rest of my life. Thank you.

  17. Kevin says:

Last night’s show was incredible. As others have mentioned, it’s difficult to put into words what was experienced. Jonsi’s voice is absolutely magical. The visuals are by far the best I have ever seen. The band all are totally involved in the music they’re playing (especially the drummer) and that is so awesome to see, as it’s clear they love what they are doing.

The crowd was very great as well. I was pleasantly surprised to be front and center, and not have to throw an elbow into someone’s ribcage to defend the spot all night. Everyone was there to experience the show, and were all very respectful, very energetic, and very thankful.

Grow Till Tall brought me to tears. Jonsi’s passion while singing was unbelievable. It’s amazing that he is able to put that much of himself into a show night after night on a tour.

Thanks so much for everything! The band are all very nice, and were great enough to chat with, take pictures with, and sign autographs for us outside after the show!

  18. ELENA PARRISH says:

  19. Courtney says:

i’ve been listening to, viewing, and appreciating sigur ros for over a decade now, long hailing the group as the most powerful performers i have ever seen. and yet, this show was quite possibly the best i have ever been privileged enough to attend. thank you, jonsi. your performance was truly a gift.

  20. kevin says:

i was so overwhelmed, that even though i was exhausted that day i could not sleep that night. my mind was reeling,
i was so stimulated i kept playing the concert over and over in my mind. i have seen all the great bands since the 60s… The who, Doors, you name it. this ranked up there with the best of the best.
