What a spectacular show. I can’t believe how amazing it was.
Jonsi, thank you for giving me the best concert I have ever seen.

  5. James says:

Great set. Great finale (Grow til Tall). Artwork was amazing, and so well fit to the music.
    Loved it.
Hope I get the chance to see ye again.

  6. Jessalyn says:

Absolutely the most amazing thing I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. Intense, emotional and beautiful. Thank you so much for letting us experience that with you.

  7. Sarah says:

The most remarkable visceral experience I think I have ever had. Incredible mix of sound, story and visuals. Thank you Jonsi for raising the bar, and taking us on a transcendental trip to your world.

Note: Please do not ever return to the Sound Academy again. It’s the worst place you could have chosen to showcase your brilliance. Please come back to Massey Hall.

I understand the economics of playing Sound Academy rather than a quality venue like Massey Hall, and apprecaite that Jonsi let us share the savings, but the venue was a major drag and made the event a lot less magical than it would have been. I confess that I spent a great deal of energy being annoyed. So please – next time Massey Hall or RTH – somewhere that we can toally immerse ourselves in your magnificent creations.

I am still in complete awe. It was amazing.

Amazing show! Does anyone have the setlist they can post?

  12. sunshine says:

beautiful show, I adored it. it made my night so much better, after having to deal with all the jerks in the crowd. thank you jonsi. <3

  13. Keegan says:

Drove 8 hours round trip to see Jonsi and went to work this morning on 3 hours sleep, but I would do it again! There aren’t words to describe what an amazing experience the show was last night. Thanks Jonsi!

  14. Bader says:

  17. adam says:

friday evening’s performance can only be described with words like “epic” and “cathartic”. never have i been so moved by music; from childlike awe and happiness to being nearly in tears. thank you for bringing your gift to us.

  18. Braden says:

This was one of the….no, the most amazing concert i have ever witnessed. the stage production, although difficult to see at all times, was mind blowing, the magic of the show lay not only in the music, but the stage production, the sights and sounds that were coupled with the songs, the brief pause to sing an icelantic happy birthday (Til hamingju með afmælið) and the natural feel of the venue, the whole thing felt like i was watching mother natures life flash before her eyes, i had goosebumps for most of the show.

thank you for the experience, please continue creating this soul invigorating music

  19. Thomasj says:

What a unique and beautiful show.
And Jonsi – from famous falsetto to warm baritone on Tornado. A total surpise.
Jonsi + Nico + fifty nine productions = opera. Go. Do.

  20. nadja says:

Although I would have loved to experience Jónsi’s music in either a more intimate or a higher quality venue, I was absolutely rapt by his performance. Utterly breathtaking.
I would love to say more, however words fail me in trying to describe the emotion I felt during this show.

Jónsi, you have a beautiful soul.

  21. Brittany says:

Fridays concert was wonderful, amazing and stunning. During the preformance I teared up here and there, and was in utter shock. There has been a concert never like this.
Though, a girl did throw up, another fainted and even I almost fainted, but hey, thats part of the experiance I guess. XD
…Was there a rubber chicken poking out of one of the sets holes? I thought I saw one…

  22. Kate says:

Days after the concert, I am still at a loss for how to describe the exerience to people. I wish I could share it with them.

    Please come back soon.

  23. justin says:

AMAZING!!!! What more can I say? Perfect way to start the weekend! Your voice is angelesque!!
The whole time I was blown away by everything, your voice, the band, the visuals, everything was perfect!!
    I will never forget it!!!!

  24. shawnsyms says:

Amazing show. And yes, my feet were sore after being there from the opening act right through to the end, but it would have been unimaginably worse to see this show seated at a place like Massey Hall, especially for people unfortunate enough to be on the second or third floors there!

  25. Matt (Para) says:

Well everyone’s already said how amazing and incredible this show was and of course I can’t disagree with any of them. I could maybe say that my enjoyment of the show was 300 times better than others there but of course I don’t know that (and quite a rude assumption!). So I’ll just say the show did something to me that rival drugs. Walking out of the place after experiencing Grow Till Tall (which I knew from the start would be the hilight of the show, I had my hands in the air all throughout the end of it, lost sense of where and who I was), I was in such a heightened state. I saw a girl with big black feathers in her hair. Normally I’d be too shy to say anything but I said “I love your hair” and she said “Thanks! Have a feather!” and I got a red feather and wore it home on my jacket. Thank you Jonsi and friends for whatever it is you did to us that night, and continue to spread about the world. I love you all <3

  26. Michael Langiewicz says:

    Jonsi, Band & 59 Productions:

Nothing will ever top the performance you have put on for all of us. From the quiet and calm opening to the roaring end of Grow Till Tall- the show was perfect. The joy and pure excitement on your faces, the passion in your souls is absolutely magical.

Thank you for coming, hope to see you all again!

  27. Grant says:

Loved it. Makes me feel very happy, as it should. Thanks for coming!

  28. jenna says:

We traveled from the southern U.S. to see the show for my birthday, and it was totally worth it! When they sang Happy Birthday in Icelandic to the two crew members, I pretended they were singing to me also :) I had read so many reviews talking about the Grow Till Tall finale, and before the show, I just couldn’t imagine how it could be as incredible as they claimed. When it happened though, I remember being in complete awe with my mouth falling open and my eyes wide, thinking “I understand now!” I just started smiling and laughing in happiness and amazement! Thank you Jónsi and everyone else for the most memorable birthday of my life!

The only downside is that I was silently cursing all the tall Canadian guys making it so hard for me to see! Fortunately we found a spot on the side that allowed us to see a decent amount of the set. The evening ended well with us seeing how many Jónsi fans we could squeeze into one city bus after the concert – I don’t know what the answer is, but it was a lot!

  29. sean says:

Drove from Pittsburgh, PA to see show on Saturday. I was extremely excited…until I arrived at the venue to see it had been cancelled and tix were honored Friday (which would have been impossible). Glad to read it was amazing, but no one else got to drive 11 total hours, eat crappy Indian food and see the sunset over Lake Erie. I still love you Jonsi!!

  30. katherine says:

Wow, I’m still thinking about that concert today! It was that good!
Thank you guys for giving us an awesome performance. Cannot wait to see what’s next…

  31. Sam says:

This was the greatest show I have ever seen so far in my life.
    Thank you, Jonsi!!

  32. vanessa says:

I love you. I’ve never seen so much beauty stem from one human being; you are truly a divine masterpiece. It is a blessing to have experienced such wonder through my own eyes. Godspeed!

  33. misterm says:

What an amazing show. However, after seeing numerous Sigur Ros concerts at Massey Hall, I must say that I was incredibly disappointed at the venue that was selected for the concert (Sound Academy). I dont know, it just didnt work for me. I beg that your bring this tour back for another go ’round, I would so love to see it again, but PLEASE, as one commenter mentioned earlier, play Massey or Roy Thompson Hall. Even better would be the new Koerner Hall. It’s amazing and would so fit your incredible (yet intimate) extravaganza. All the best for an amazing tour and please grace us with an encore performance in the coming year. Please. Thanks so much!
