I went along with my 12 year old daughter, and we loved every second of it, the lighting, stage, and intimacy of the Academy was the perfect venue to watch the show. The support act, Mountain Man were superb too!!

Great intimate show at a lovely venue. It was great to see up close. last time we were too far away the the London Forum. My Daughter loved the drummer (she drums too) “around us ” will be her challenge !!!! Thanks for a wonderful evening, thanks to the lovely ladies of Mountain Man of making a fuss over my daughter too !!

Quite simply the best music I have ever heard. The sound was superb, the playing was brilliant and Jonsi was astonishing. Unforgettable night.

Amazing! The best concert I’ve been to and I’ve been going to concerts since 1983.

An absolutely incredible and unforgettable show! The music was stunning, the sound was perfect and the visuals were amazing. And all in a great intimate venue. Mountain Man were also fantastic, such pure voices. All in all, one of the best gigs I’ve been to in a very long time.

Fantastic show – both musically & visually. The sound and ambience of the venue were great too. Come back again soon!

I’ve enjoyed Jonsi since Sigur Ros first started. His solo work has always impressed me, and I was lucky enough to win a competition for free tickets for this event. Support from Mountain Man was very impressive, one of the best supports I’ve seen in a while

Seeing Sigur Ros live before, I knew that this gig was going to be good – but I had no idea it was going to be THAT good. Everything about it was epic; words truly cannot describe the river of emotions painted through the music and visuals. The effects were amazing, and there was times where you lost yourself in them – as they worked perfectly with the music.

I would recommend Jonsi to absolutely anyone. I brought a friend who had never heard a single track – yet he left a huge Jonsi fan!

I was even luckier to meet Jonsi himself on the streets of Bournemouth who, in all truth, is a very kind and genuine person.

I want to thank Jonsi and everyone who was a part of this for such a special experience.

    what can i say?

I went to see muse on the friday and saturday be fore at wembley – they were brilliant.

Jonsi though was something else then brilliant – I do not have the words to describe the effect that seeing this had on me.

All i knew afterwards was that I wasn’t quite sure what I’d expereinced. I’ve been going to gigs since 1982 and have seen hundreds of acts from the biggest to the smallest. Jonsi live was an expereince i have never had at a live music event and likely never will again – unless i can get to see him in London on the 26th Nov!

    heres hoping

Feel i have to add a word on the gig. I feel so ‘lucky’ to have been there and seen such an amazing talent. I came across Sigur Ros quite by chance (the sun came out that day) I thought i knew what to expect, i did’nt have a clue. I’ve been going to gigs since the 70’s, so i’m an old geezer in a very young mind. I came away feeling like i’d had some kind of spiritual experience, i don’t know how else to put it. Truly a god talent given, WONDERFUL

How I agree with Adam’s comments. Excellent choice of venue and the show was amazing – so much more than just a concert. Jonsi really does provide a multi dimensional experience and is so innovative and expressive. The wonderful varied rhythms, haunting, pleading vocals reaching into every corner of your emotions. The whole band melded so well together, it’s hard to imagine that they had not been together for years.

The backing visuals were also brilliant, really well thought out and executed – and Jonsi himself is always the cherry on the top. Having been a longtime Sigur Ros fan and enjoying their shows, this brought the live experience to a totally new level.

It was good to see how his music appeals to such a wide variety of ages, from a number of younger fans to seasoned concert goers as ourselves.

Thank you so much for bringing such a quality programme to a south west venue.
