This is my second time seeing Jonsi, the first being in Chicago this spring.

The concert was absolutely phenomenal. There’s really nothing I can say about it.

What happened after the show is why I came here to write a review. At the show in Chicago this spring, I walked out of The Vic and saw some people waiting around for autographs afterward. I decided to wait around, too, and was blessed to meet Jonsi. I really wasn’t prepared with any memorabilia for him to sign, so this concert, I brought my “Go” vinyl and held onto it the entire concert.

I went out to where the tour buses were parked and waited there with two others.

    It was FREEZING.

Then, someone came out. I’m guessing it was one of the tour managers. He walked up to us, and told us Jonsi wasn’t feeling well, and wouldn’t be coming out for a long time…that they didn’t want us waiting around in the cold.

First, I was honored that he would actually come out and tell us this. I imagine most other artists and their crews would simply not care.

Second, I made a totally random request, and asked if he would bring in my album to have Jonsi sign if he wasn’t coming outside… I really expected him to say no. But he said “Sure!” and took it in. Moments later he returned with my album signed.

If you ever read this – Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Guys!, great concert. Sorry it took so long to write. We purchased pre-sale reserved seating and had a great view. The sound was fantastic as well as the visuals. Will remember for a long time! Thanks for coming to Detroit.

The crowd was a bit – how to say? – reserved to say the least. I think they simply didn’t want to miss anything. The show was so visually/musically rich I’m sure most just wanted to take it all in.

    Thanks for the music! Ciao.

The show was possibly the best I’ve ever attended. The sound was amazing and filled with emotion. I haven’t seen Sigur Ros before and I imagine that show will be the only thing able to compete with the experience I had here.

    Thank you.

Sorry to spoil the mass directive but I was quite unimpressed with the show. It was not a show to stand at first of all. Secondly, it resemble “paint drying” more than entertainment. Better fit for soundtracks and not small restrictive venues. Sorry boys but it did nothing for me. I left 2/3rds of the way thru.

It has been over 2 years since this show and I still think about it today. It was the most emotional and powerful concert I have ever been to. I left the Filmore that evening with my knees weak and shivers down my spine. That concert was changing. I love your music because it loves back, I physically feel something when I listen to it. You are an incredibly inspirational artist to me, as well as your other band, Sigur Rós. I would do anything to see you live again, thank you. Come back soon,
