Absolutely epic. Words capable of explaining the beautiful experience do not exist.

  3. Zak says:

The concert was fantastic! Imagery to go along with music was beautiful. Have to see him live to experience the power of his music.

Actually had to catch my breath at one point…the result of this group’s talent, passion and creativity is nothing short of the most epic performance I’ve been privileged to witness.

Should note that from standing on the center balcony, I’ve never seen so few cameras/phones out in the crowd…Jonsi had the place absolutely mesmerized from the first note to the last.

  6. Jeff Martin says:

This was every bit as amazing as I’d hoped it would be. Some great photos from the show can be found here.

One of the best, if not the best concert I’ve ever been to… I was in tears during the first song! The entire performance was outstanding. I have seen a lot of shows all over the east coast and from the second Jonsi opened his mouth to sing “Stars In Still Water” it was in the top 5! It was my first time seeing him live after being a Sigur Ros fan for the past 3 years, and I always knew his voice was amazing, but when you hear and see it live… it takes you to another world. I was blown away… completely phenomenal show. I would have paid $100 for my ticket, even more if it were Sigur Ros.

Sigur Ros has been my favorite since ’04, but I somehow didn’t keep up with the news about Jonsi’s solo album etc. until a few weeks ago. By *miracle*, I heard a hauntingly gorgeous song on CW’s Nikita and ran to the computer to find out what it was, just in time to not miss out on these Go Live shows, thank God.

Amazing both nights, especially powerful energy the second night! I think that there were several songs in which Jonsi totally *nailed* the vocals. “Grow Til Tall” of course blew everyone, including me, away… I’m pretty sure I would’ve fallen down if not holding onto the divider, because my legs were just trembling so much… Perfect dramatic exit, too, with guitar and mic on the ground at the end of the storm…

I love that the mood and musical style differ so much from Sigur Ros, but that Jonsi has collaborated with an equally talented group of guys. Not to be melodramatic or anything, but this series of otherworldy, uplifting songs totally gave me back my energy and my faith in the beauty of what is possible… It only reminds me of how I miss the music world and how meaningful it is to work in it and help bring this kind of art forth… I may have to think about venturing back.

Already having Jonsi-withdrawal symptoms, it’s a good thing the live album is coming out soon!

I can remember the last time I went so see Sigur Ros three times in one week, in different states, when they were doing their tour on the east coast. That was the first time I was ever effected so much by Jonsi’s voice that it brought me to tears. And once again, he has done it again. I was so speechless by the beautiful performance and the amount of feeling that was put forth into this from all of the band members. Thank you Jonsi for the music that you bring and leaving me with your unforgettable voice in my head and heart.

I have seen more than 400 bands in the last fifteen or so years, gone to every festival imaginable, been in the front row for some of the biggest acts of this generation. This show blew every one of those shows to dust. In case that wasn’t clear enough–this was the greatest live show I have ever, and probably will ever, see. Thank you so much Jonsi, for everything you put into the show. It was life-altering.

It was amazing!!!! I went to his show on november 8th and it was so amazing I had to call off work and comeback the next day!! It was breath taking. A journey to the senses, visually amazing felling the vibration of the drums on your skin and of course hearing the beautiful music Jonsi has created. Can’t wait to see what else he comes up with.
