Jag hade stora förväntningar på Jonsi men han och bandet överträffade flera gånger om. Jonsis röst är ett instrument i sig och bandet otroligt kompetenta. Visuellt en höjdare och helt i klass med Pink Floyd. Bäst på WOW,

Anyone who appreciates music realizes that songs elicit emotions. More importantly, however, is that what music truely does is create a particular state of conciousness. Listening to Jonsi immerses me into a creative realm of unlimited potential and uplifts my mind so deeply that I feel all things are possible.

It was truly amazing. I saw Jónsi with Sigur Rós in 2008 at WOW, and it was the best concert I had ever seen. Now two years later, this comes along. It is only Jónsi’s magical voice that can get stuck in ones head for so long. Keep up the good work and I hope to see you in Sweden again soon!

I’m a – well, fan is an understatement, but – fan of Sigur Rós and Jónsi since years back. I was at an outdoor concert in Iceland in 2006. At that time I had been depressed for two years and was really destroyed by seeing how fucked up our world is. When I sat in the grass only 10 meters from the stage, watching the sky where the clouds were pink and listening to Glósóli I was completely filled with this amazing feeling that there is something in this world that is through and through good, beautiful and wants only well and I started to cry while at the same time feeling happy and hopeful. I thought to myself “this is what it would sound like if god was to crack open the sky and sing”. I’m not religious, but I described that feeling to a colleague who’s religious and he told me that’s how he feels when he feels the presence of god.
The cool thing is that there are so many people who all say the same thing… when we hear his voice, his and Sigur Rós music, we feel… happiness, possibility and hope.
I honestly don’t know what my life would be without this music. When things have been beautiful it has helped me to enjoy it fully. And when things have been shit it has reminded me that beauty will come back.
